Howdy all! Welcome to the Alaska 49er's web site. I am proud to represent the finest bunch of cowboys and cowgirls in Alaska. You won't find a friendlier crew on any range. I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you out to Fort Birchwood to join us for a shootin' good time! If you live in Alaska, come on out and see what we're all about. But be ready to shoot 'cause we'll hand you some guns and point ya downrange! If you're not lucky enough to live in the Greatland then plan a vacation and come visit. We promise to welcome ya like one of our own. We have a couple of great annuals every summer, The Alaska Territorial Championship, "Shootout Under the Midnight Sun" and The Alaska State Black Powder Shootout, "Smoke in the Greatland". We'll shoot some side-matches, have some fun stages, feed ya, and try to make you feel right at home on our range.
